Nice
Great video. One question though. Is there a rave or dance party outside your workshop? Lol😂
I find makeup sponges work good for seat foam poking through holes. Just stain them with watered down paint and it looks just like the seat foam...
Cool model. 👍
Great video Dan!! Very informative and will have to try this on future builds. Thanx for sharing!!
Great video Dan! Plan to use this on an unstalled project soon, depicting a car mentioned in a song.
Thanks, and good luck on your build.
Wow! Beautiful! 👏👍🌈😍
I subscribed. Nice video. I have also used the wire from a bread tie and made a spring sticking up through seats. Also using ground cinnamon for rust powders. I left a like
ruclips.net/video/v5dOs_OnAso/видео.html Great

Hi Dan... I've been a subscriber for a while now & enjoy all your tutorials...you've helped me tremendously as im a 50 something newbie LOL. Thank You for sharing your wealth of modeling experience with us...i'll continue to watch for new vids... I'm a fellow Canadian in Ottawa. 🍻 Cheers.
👍👌🌹❤
This is awesome! One question: how do you make the color of the seat look old? I love this weathering method and plan to use it but still not sure about color.
Hi Don, once i apply the color that I want the seat to be I will then apply Tamiya black or brown panel liner and this will stain the paint and make it look weathered, I will also use thinned Tamiya flat black as a wash after I clear coat the paint and panel liners. I would suggest just practicing on some scrap until you get the results you are looking for. Good luck and have fun 😆
Wow I've never seen this technique before. Very cool.
Thanks for all the great information Dan! You 🎸 🤘
Some on who live up the stree from us used to sniff Testors glue he wasn't right.
Thank you for the ideas. I have worn seats by thinning the inside of the plastic in order to preserve the texture. Your idea is great as well.
I’m lost on paints, enamels vs acrylics, thinning each, etc. great video though! Cool to watch and follow along
Sir, How can I get a sheet of those gauge decals? Your videos are excellent.
If you know a guy with PLA 3D printer, then PLA can be treated the same way for stretching
Thank you. Great techniques!
Thanks for the video. I've been at this for about 30 years. Just looking up videos for new ideas. More people need to be building models. I dread the day when it becomes a forgotten skill.
do you do 1:18 diecast for people if they send you the cars along with your fee ofcourse?you on FB ?
Awesome.. So crazy detailing.,.
Hi Dan, wow, Im so thankful i came across your page. Great tipps

Thank you, your tutorials are clear & informative. Just getting back into the hobby after 35 years of raising a family. Kids are gone, now I can be a kid again.

Hello Sir I have a few ICM kits they are great kits. I am a new subscriber to your channel. I have a question what did you use to gold BMF of paint on the brass parts of this kit? Thanks.....................................................................Ken
I use paint for a much smoother finish.
@@DansScaleModelCreations Thank you for the tip
Awesome video my friend! Thanks for sharing your talents with us. Count me in as a loyal subscriber. Take care and God bless you and your loved ones during these challenging and uncertain times my friend. 👋😃
Hi Dan, that was an excellent tutorial on weathering interiors and I'll be using that in an upcoming build. I do mostly 1:64 stuff, much smaller, but now and then there's a piece that lends itself to this kind of detail. You're very skilled and a good teacher. I'm subbing to you now (#7.4K +1) and hitting the notification bell for future updates. Be safe, brother. Greetings from Switzerland - Andrew
i wish you would come back
Hey Dan, as always, your work is remarkable. I hope all is well with you and your family. I haven't seen you post anything in awhile and I really love your channel. I know it's selfish but You've simply earned an eager fan and follower. Be well and keep the hits coming brother. Thanks, Stephen Tabor Waikoloa, Hawaii
Hmm...Is the word decals pronounced "DECK-uls" or "DEE-cals"?
I been doing it wrong for years. Always used. Regular tp. But the stuff rips really easey. Going to deffently try this next time. Thanks for sharing.
I used tp alot , works good
Great vid on the basics. Two things. First I saw you were dry fitting but didn't mention it. Second was I always wash my whole kit (minus glass and chrome) after initial inspection and before starting. Small things but basic to getting good results and it's never too early to start developing good habits.
Hey have to say I’m new to the model game and your videos help me out so much I just watched your enamel paint video and I painted my transmission without using thinner and the paint went on to thick so what I wanna do is take the paint off and repaint it so I don’t lose detail what do you suggest for that ? And do you recommend priming parts like engine or just the body I found that I primed the transmission and the primer kind of leaked through to the paint should I not prime or let it dry longer I’m building the AMT 1970 Z28 Camaro moulded in Orange thanks so much for your help.I’m commenting on this video because the other video has the comments turned off for some reason
Very cool channel and cool video fire trucks are cool I enjoyed watching I also subscribed to you to
I just found this video. I wanted to say Thank you for sharing this. Great tip!
RobG South hope it helps you out Rob.
Nice work on the fire truck. The figures look great too!
I'm thinking about choosing this kit to build for my club build. The kit does look very nice. I'm already thinking about cutting some custom gold vinyl decals for this. Very nice job.
This is on my build list, Im doing my research to make it as accurate as possible with colors.
Awesome build
I will be building that unit, Where did you find it ?
Gary Kolo I ordered it from eBay. Her is a link to for the the kit I bought, rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.ca%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F264205869217
@@DansScaleModelCreations I will make it as historically accurate as possible.
Looks awesome!! well done!! Strange there were no decals for the details

Looks absolutely great and so good to see you back building and Merry Christmas to you and your family and a happy New Year Dan ....KA
Very nice work! Like the extra details. And hey, you can add decals at any time. You never know what you might find somewhere.
